Barcelona and Real Madrid are both willing to meet the £40 million release clause in Neymar's contract, all that remains to be seen is whether the child prodigy chooses real or barca.
But the story took a twist in favour of real when the Brazilians agent ,Wagner Ribeiro, accused the catalan giants of crossing a line by directly coming into contact with the player and his father rather than him, the agent.
"I don't like what they [Barcelona] did. They talked to the player when he was with Brazil's national side and contacted his father," Ribeiro was quoted as saying by ESPN.
Wagner Ribeiro went as far as saying that he would prefer for the young Brazilian to join the Madrid giants rather than barca!
"I am in favour of negotiating with Real Madrid. I haven't forgotten that [club president] Florentino Perez already wanted to sign him when they got Robinho. If I had to choose between both sides, I'd go for Real Madrid."
With Real clearly the leaders in the race to get Neymar's signature, lets see what fate has in store for this young Brazilian...
